Motivation Tip #11: Use a Gratitude Pebble
for a gentle reminder to be grateful and boost your mood.
Pick a pebble you can carry around. Or any object of your choice. Carry it with you, place it on your desk or wear it as an accessory. I wear an anklet.
Each time you see it/touch it, pause for a moment. Think of at least one thing you are grateful for.
Sunshine
Work?
A loved one’s hug?
Anything that brings you joy.
And at the end of the day, reflect on all the things you were grateful for.
This mindfulness exercise makes you focus on the present moment and triggers positive thinking.
Doing it many times a day multiplies the joy.
